Migrant Voice supports migrants to engage with national and local media. Migrants are underrepresented in stories about migration and it is important to make our voices heard so the public can hear from those with first-hand experience of migration in order to contribute to a more balanced debate, counter xenophobia and build support for migrants’ rights. Our members regularly contribute to interviews and articles in mainstream media. We facilitate connections with the media and support migrants throughout the process of engaging with the media.
In recent years members have made their voices heard on media ranging from Channel 4, BBC radio West Midlands and the Daily Record Scotland.
