Guardian speaks to MV member about surcharge
On 22 May, MV member Caroline (a pseudonym) spoke to the Guardian about the impact of the NHS surcharge on her and other migrants.
“I have paid tax all along," she said. "I look at it, at where I’ve come from in Jamaica, and I think yes, the UK gives you an opportunity, you can come and work here. But then they use the other hand, they pull it all back.”
