On Thursday 25 November, Migrant Voice director Nazek Ramadan was interviewed live-on-air by BBC News Channel about the recent tragedy in the Channel, which claimed the lives of at least 27 people.
"These were unnecessary deaths and there have been warnings for years and years for the government to do something," Nazek told the BBC.
She added: "People end up resorting to huge risks and it’s not easy for them, actually people are terrified of getting on dinghies."
