Migrant Voice - MV member Lewin speaks to Birmingham Mail about his campaign to stay in the UK

On 24 December, Migrant Voice member Lewin Williams spoke to Birmingham Mail about his fear of being deported to Jamaica, where he would not be able to afford the medical care he needs to treat his cancer.

A petition calling for Lewin to be allowed to stay in the UK has received more than 70,000 signatures.

"I'm still worried about what will happen to me and whether I will get sent back to Jamaica where it's very unsafe," Lewin told the newspaper.

"That's the only thing on my mind. The best Christmas present will be getting to stay in a country I love."
