MV member Nomi speaks to BBC Radio London Vanessa Feltz programme about #MyFutureBack

On 9 February, BBC Radio London Vanessa Feltz programme featured a new BBC Newsnight investigation which has revealed that the government followed unreliable evidence to take blanket actions against tens of thousands of students it accused of cheating in an English language test. This is a huge boost for our #MyFutureBack campaign, which has been raising the issue for years to help the students clear their names.

Migrant Voice member, Raja Noman Hussain (Nomi) who is also a steering group member of the #MyFutureBack campaign, explained to Vanessa Feltz how in the third year of his study in the UK he was suddenly detained by the Home Office.

 “They arrested me and detained me straight away, without even telling me the reason…I was detained for more than 4 months [by the Home Office]”

"for 5 years I told [the Home Office]: the only evidence you’re relying on, that’s not the correct information. And this is what the judge said at the court hearing, this is not even the correct person that you have been detaining."
