MV member speaks to BirminghamLive about Channel tragedy
On 6 December, BirminghamLive published an article following the tragedy in the Channel last month, which claimed the lives of at least 27 people as they attempted to reach sanctuary in the UK.
MV member Nas Popalzai was quoted in the article.
"I recognise myself and my family when I see people escaping persecution or seeking a better life," he told the publication.
"Unfortunately the new Borders Bill will make things worse than they already are, persecuting the very people who are fleeing war and poverty."
