We invite you to join us for our upcoming ‘Meet the Press’ event with journalist Hannah Badawi-Crooks from DMG New Media, on Thursday 17 September 6pm-7.30pm followed by networking.
Our ‘Meet the Press’ events bring migrants into conversation with journalists from different media channels and platforms to learn how we can engage, exploring opportunities for coverage of under-represented stories, leading to better understanding of each other’s position and a more accurate coverage of migration.
We are delighted to have Hannah from DMG New Media as our guest at our September ‘Meet the Press’. DMG New Media is the social-first division of DMG Media, producing original video content for brands including the Daily Mail and ‘This is Money’, reaching millions of people across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other digital platforms.
Hannah Badawi-Crook is a social video journalist and presenter at ‘This is Money’ / Daily Mail UK. She creates and presents short-form videos covering money, politics, current affairs and lifestyle, making complex stories accessible and engaging for digital audiences. Hannah describes herself as half English and half Sudanese and also covers lots of stories on migration on her own social channel – Hannah TalksPolitics where she posts daily news explainers for younger audiences.
The Migrant Voice team hope you can join us for this event to learn more about the media platforms where the younger generations are engaging and how.
This event is for people from a migrant background but we are happy to welcome a small number of individuals from partner organisations. Places are limited so please do book your place by 15 September by contacting [email protected]
