Join our project launch in Glasgow!

Migrant Voice has a new office in Glasgow and we’re excited to invite you to an event celebrating the launch of our new projects and activities in the city!

Join us on Saturday the 8th of October to hear about our local projects and enjoy food and dances at our multicultural ceilidh! Garnethill Multicultural Centre, 21 Rose Street, G3 6RE, starting at 7pm until 10pm. OUR UPCOMING PROJECT "PUTTING OURSELVES IN THE PICTURE"

The project, entitled Putting Ourselves in the Picture, will include an exhibition in collaboration with Glasgow Museums and will feature photographs taken within two projects delivered by Migrant Voice in Scotland: Engaging Pictures (2013) and Changing Lenses (2018). There will be several ways to get involved in this project!

OUR NEW WOMEN’S GROUP

We’re launching our new Women’s Group where women from different migrant backgrounds can meet together to explore creative solutions to their needs, share interests and skills, and make their voices heard. Sign up via this form: www.tinyurl.com/MVGlasgowWomen. 

The launch event for this group is at 4 pm on Saturday the 8th of October. Our sessions will be taking place every two weeks at times suiting the majority. 

RELAUNCH OF OUR MIGRANT MEDIA LABS

We are relaunching our popular training sessions with journalists, film-makers, photographers, and media experts from Glasgow University and other partners. 

OUR OTHER ACTIVITIES

We are also planning drop-ins and network meetings, multicultural events, workshops, talks and film screenings alongside our continuous work around migration campaigns and policy influencing.

The launch event will be a great opportunity to connect with others, have fun dancing, and to sign up and help us shape our Glasgow based activities. We’re looking forward to welcoming you there!
