Our next Media lab session in London will be on Tuesday September 20th from 4.00-8.00 pm at Migrant Voice, Collaboration House, 77-79 Charlotte Street, London W1T 4PW This will be a special masterclass session of the Media lab, offering two sessions: Session 1: Video messaging Simon Whitlock, Video Producer from London Live will lead a session from 4.00 - 8.00 pm. The group training session from 4-5.30pm will demonstrate techniques for video journalism, how to develop your message for video, the basics of filming and editing, do's and don'ts and will be followed by hands-on exercises to produce your own short videos on migration with individualised support. We will be working on producing a number of short messages for the #Weareallmigrants campaign as well as other videos on migration. Time: Group session from 4-5.30pm. Practical work with individuals support 5.30-8pm. Simon is a Video Producer for London Live News, working on both features and news stories. Before joining the press he worked for NGO's and community organisations. Session 2: How to get a strong message across on social media, Pedro Caxade and Sara Martin from the #Weareallmigrants will lead a group session from 6.00-8.00pm. This session will focus on how to develop and get across your messages on social media, drawing inspiration from the # weareallmigrants campaign. The session will offer hands on training on social media and messaging and we will be telling our stories for #weareallmigrants. Pedro is a multifaceted artist (singer, songwriter and actor) from Spain, who like the majority of his generation across the globe has travelled to seek opportunities and work. Pedro uses his music and his new single, EMIGRANTE, to tell this story and to raise awareness and tolerance. EMIGRANTE, a message of understanding and a call for unity. Pedro is the founder of 'Weareallmigrants. Sara has been working in the music and performing arts industry for over 10 years. She is currently immersed in Pedro Caxade's music project as a project manager, produced 'Emigrante' music video and managed the digital and press campaign and works actively on the Social movement We Are All Migrants. Sara Martin also lectures at BIMM, London, West London University
