Migrant Voice is delighted to invite you to our two-day conference in London on 27-28 February, 2025.
Migration continues to be weaponised for political gain, and toxic rhetoric and scapegoating of migrants fuels dangerous violence and riots. Across Europe, far right movements are strengthening, while mainstream parties move towards more restrictive border and immigration policies, undermining rights and worsening the situation for migrants.
While more migrant voices are heard and seen in the coverage of migration issues these days the under/mis-representation of migrants in media and political narratives is as prevalent as ever.
This timely event will go to the heart of these issues and explore ways forward. It will bring together migrant communities with experts on migration, equality, academics, the media, unions and other stakeholders from the UK and Europe.
This will be a packed and engaging event with a number of panel discussions, workshops and training to address the challenges for migrants’ rights, and changing the way migration is discussed.
The conference will also mark 15 years of Migrant Voice and of migrants speaking out to change and reclaim the narrative.
The event will take place at the National Education Union in Central London.
Please save the date. A full agenda and further details will be circulated in the coming weeks.
