Migrant Voice - Migrant Voice 5th annual conference

Migrant Voice is delighted to invite you to join us for our fifth annual conference on September 18-19th, 2015 at the University of Westminster, London. The conference will address the most urgent issues around migration in the UK and Europe, the rhetoric on migration, develop actions and strategies, and raise alternative voices and messages.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with members of our networks in London, Birmingham and Glasgow, the media, academics, and the public.

The programme features debates on the current situation in the Mediterranean and Calais and Europe’s response, freedom of movement in the EU and the upcoming referendum. Speakers include:

  • Roger Casale, Founder & Director, New Europeans
  • Professor Heaven Crawley, Chair in International Migration for the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations, Coventry University
  • Lindsey Hilsum, International Editor for Channel 4 News
  • Jan Krauss, Political officer, European Commission Representation in the UK
  • Jean Lambert, Green MEP
  • Lul Seyoum, Director, International Centre for Eritrean Refugees and Asylum Seekers
  • Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, UNHCR representative to the UK
