On 28 August, the Birmingham Mail published a front page spread on MV member Lewin Williams' campaign to stay in the UK. A petition set up by Migrant Voice calling for Lewin to stay in the UK received more than 60,000 signatures in one month. Lewin, 74, is battling cancer and won't be able to afford medical treatment if he is deported to Jamaica. On 8 August, The Daily Star in Bangladesh covered the stories of four Migrant Voice members which we have supported after they were wrongly accused of cheating on a Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC). The article looks at the stories of Wahidur Rahman and Amin Sheikh, both from Bangladesh, alongside that of Rony Mondol from India, Mohammad Naved from Pakistan.
