On 26 July, Birmingham news site "I am Birmingham" reported on an upcoming Migrant Voice Media Lab in the nearby city of Wolverhampton, to be led by Denise Maxwell, one of the few black female photojournalists in the West Midlands.
"Now, Maxwell is aiming to empower the next generation of under-represented talent from the region by hosting a workshop with Migrant Voice for those born outside of the UK, including immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers," the article reads.
