Migrant Voice - Coverage of the Gurmit Kaur campaign

Together with Gurmit Kaur - a 75-year-old woman living in Smethwick, Birmingham - and alongside Brushstrokes and Gurdwara Baba Sang Ji, Migrant Voice is campaigning for Gurmit to get leave to remain and be able to live without fear of being forcibly removed from the UK.

The campaign has been covered across regional and international media, including I Am Birmingham (herehere and here), ITV Central, BBC Midlands, Huffington PostAsian Image, Asian World News, the Express & Star, Hillingdon & Uxbridge Times and the Sikh Channel. In November, the campaign was covered again by the Birmingham Mail, and also by The Tribune, the New Indian Express, and Desiblitz.

"I have spent my life helping and giving to others and want to be able to continue to do this," said Gurmit. "But as I'm getting older, my community want to help me stay here and support me, this is why they are rallying behind me and I'm deeply touched by this campaign."
