On Friday 10 March, Migrant Voice director Nazek Ramadan talked to the French media outlet France Info about the new so-called illegal immigration bill.
She said: "From the moment people arrive here in the UK, it is our duty to take care of them and review their asylum application."
The bill would make it impossible for people arriving on small boats to apply for asylum in the UK; additionally, they would be detained and deported.
