On June 10, The i newspaper spoke to Migrant Voice member Eric (not his real name) about his experiences fleeing persecution as a gay man in Gabon to coming to the UK and living off less than £6 a day.
"I am in this situation where I don’t know where I am, what’s going on with my life, or where it’s going," he told the newspaper. "Will I just die in this process, in this system, this pandemic? Am I just going to be another statistic?"
The news report also featured statistics from Migrant Voice's new report - Releasing resilience and building networks of resilience - released in partnership with Kanlungan Filipino Consortium and RAPAR as part of our six month Building Resilience project.
