On 18 April, Migrant Voice Director, Nazek Ramadan was interviewed on LBC radio, on the Andrew Castle show, about the government's plans to send asylum seekers to Rwanda.
She challenged the inhumane nature of the plan, which would "turn people into human cargo and ship them to Rwanda is first of all unlawful under international law, it goes against the international conventions that this country is a signatory of; it's unworkable, it's a 'tried and failed policy', it's very expensive, it's inhumane and cruel and it's out of step with widespread public support for people seeking refuge."
