On 28 October, Migrant Voice director Nazek Ramadan was quoted in an article by BirminghamLive about how hundreds of locals welcome Little Amal, a 3.5 metre-tall puppet depicting a young Syrian refugee. Little Amal is being walked across Europe to shed a light on the millions of displaced refugee children around the world.
Migrant Voice's West Midlands team and its members joined the crowds in Birmingham to cheer on Little Amal.
"It is good to see Birmingham welcoming Little Amal on her journey," Nazek told BirminghamLive.
"Little Amal's walk across Europe sheds light on the stories of millions of displaced refugee children around the world and the dangerous journeys many are forced to take."
