On 3 April, the Independent published a story about care workers feeling "forgotten" by the Government, who have automatically extended visas for some frontline workers, but not others.
Journalist May Bulman spoke to MV member in the West Midlands Shantel Murray, who is a care worker:
“I wanted to do nursing but I couldn’t because I couldn’t afford overseas student fees, so I decided to be a care worker and I’m working hard. Right now I’m doing all I can to help the community. But I just feel so undervalued.”
