On 2 July, several news outlets reported on a complaint filed by the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM) and quoted MV Director Nazek Ramadan.
The complaint relates to the UK's 2018 data protection act, which allows GDPR exemptions for data relating to migrants.
"This exemption disproportionately interferes with fundamental rights of privacy, data protection, equality and non-discrimination of millions of UK foreign residents,” said Nazek.
The news was reported by Euractiv, Scottish Legal and Global Data Review.
