In an article published on 4 August about local woman Esther Bakari who is fighting for her right to stay in the UK, Birmingham Live quoted MV staff member Salman Mirza.
"If her case was handled diligently she would have had permanent leave to remain because she would have had her back to back visas but because they delayed it she's not been given what she's entitled to," Salman said.
"We see many cases just like this one. Esther is a young woman who wants to give back to the community.
"Every time she's been given a visa she has either worked or been in education. She could end up having to pay £10k fees when she's already entitled to stay here."
MV staff in Birmingham have been working to support Esther in her fight to stay and her wider campaign for a fairer immigration system
