On 23 October, PIE News reported on a new development in the saga of injustice faced by the international students wrongly accused of cheating in 2014. A letter from Immigration Minister Seema Kennedy to Stephen Timms MP explained that the proposal by the former Home Secretary to set up a bespoke scheme that would allow students to have their cases reviewed has been scrapped under the new administration.
“Neither she nor the immigration minister have offered anything to replace that scheme, apparently convinced that this staggering injustice will go away on its own,” said Nazek Ramadan, MV Director.
