Migrant Voice - The Guardian publishes a profile of one of the international students in our campaign

On 23 April, along with an article outlining situation faced by thousands of international students whose lives were torn apart by the Home Office, The Guardian published an article about Waqas Jawaid, one of the affected students who we have been working with.

Amelia Gentleman, one of the journalists who exposed the Windrush scandal last year, met with Waqas to learn about his situation before writing the piece.

"I know the potential I have, I know what I’m capable of, but I’m stuck right now," said Waqas. "Eight years of my life is pretty much destroyed. I still have hope that one day things may get better and I’m still going to make it. But how long and how old am I going to be? These thoughts are killing me every day.”

Read the full article about Waqas here. And the main article about the campaign here.
