MV Emergency Network Meeting
Join us on Wednesday 1 September 2021 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm on Zoom to learn about the key developments of the UK government’s plan for the evacuation and resettlement of Afghan citizens and to discuss the UK and European refugee and migration sector’s concerns and responses.
We will also look at how the media is framing the issue and discuss how we respond to this.
The meeting will be an opportunity to share what MV, our members and Afghan communities are doing in solidarity with Afghan refugees and to discuss our key demands, messages and actions.
Speakers will include:- Laura Padoan, External Relations Officer, UNHCR
- Yonous Muhammadi, Director of the Greek Forum for Refugees
- A recently arrived Afghan interpreter
