Create a public stunt - for our visa fees campaign

Migrant Voice is working on planning some creative stunts/street theatre to raise public awareness of high visa costs and long settlement routes for migrants. This is part of our campaign, which has been calling to reduce extortionate visa costs to processing cost only and for settlement routes to be capped at 5 years. Join our next planning and workshop sessions to be part of building the props, making the costumes, writing the script and acting out the performance. The government’s consultation into “earned settlement” is due to close on February 12th, 2026. This consultation gives us an opportunity to oppose the new policies and share our experiences for why we need a better system which treats all migrants with dignity. The consultation itself has some areas which seem designed to catch people out though. Migrant Voice invites you to our next network meeting in Glasgow on Wednesday 4 February from 6-8pm to follow up on our October discussions on hate crime.
